1. Introduction

1.1. The website www.britainsnurses.co.uk (the “Website”) is the property of Pocket Florence Limited (herein referred to as “Britain's Nurses”), a private company limited by shares incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 7384474 whose registered office is at 13 Accommodation Road, London NW11 8ED.

1.2. If you become a member of the Website (herein “Member” or “Members”), you enter into a contract with Britain's Nurses whereby you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions contained herein and the terms of our Privacy Policy.

1.3. Britain's Nurses may refuse to accept anyone as a Member of the Website, without giving any reason.

1.4. You are responsible for keeping your membership account confidential, ensuring that your account is not used by others and you are responsible for any actions that occur if your account is used by others. If your password becomes known to others you should inform us immediately.

1.5. Britain's Nurses may change these Terms and Conditions or its Privacy Policy simply by publishing the change or the amended version on the Website or by sending you an email. Any changes are effective from the date of the posting or email.

1.6. If any part of any of these Terms and Conditions is invalid or unenforceable, it will not affect any other provision and all other provisions will remain in full force and effect.

1.7. These Terms and Conditions, and the contract between you and Britain's Nurses, are governed by the laws of England and Wales and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

2. Submission of material by Members and obligations regarding acceptable use

2.1. Submission or posting of any material by Members, whether in the form of comment, opinion, forum posts, messages, emails, graphics, illustrations, photos or videos, to the Website shall herein be referred to as “Member Content”.

2.2. Member Content may be submitted as long as it is not illegal, obscene, pornographic, abusive, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy (by which we include naming anyone by their real name without having their express permission to do so), compromising of anyone’s security, infringing of intellectual property rights, encouraging of criminal conduct, discriminatory against any specific social group or otherwise exploit vulnerable sections of society, or otherwise injurious to third parties and does not contain any form of commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of spam.

2.3. Members may not use a false email address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of Member Content. Britain's Nurses reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit any Member Content.

2.4. If you do post or submit any Member Content, you grant Britain's Nurses a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media. You grant Britain's Nurses and its sub-licensees the right to use (or choose not to use) the name that you submit in connection with such Member Content.

2.5. Britain's Nurses reserves the right to display advertisements in connection with Member Content and to use Member Content for advertising and promotional purposes.

2.6. Britain's Nurses does not view, edit or pre-screen any Member Content that is posted or submitted directly to the Website and therefore Members cannot assume that Britain's Nurses is responsible for having made it available on the Website. Britain's Nurses has the right (but not the obligation), at its sole discretion, to refuse or remove any Member Content that is posted to the Website without giving any reasons or notice.

2.7. Britain's Nurses does not undertake to keep or make available any Member Content for any length or time. You are advised to make a copy of any Member Content that you wish to keep.

2.8. You may only post or submit Member Content to the Website which you own the rights to, which is accurate, and which does not cause injury to any person or entity.

2.9. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Britain's Nurses, its directors, officers and employees against any claim, liability, cost, damage or loss we may incur (including reasonable legal fees) as a result of any Member Content you post or submit.

3. Availability

3.1. Britain's Nurses aims to keep the Website always available but reserves the right to suspend access at any time, without notice, for maintenance purposes, or if Britain's Nurses suspects that there has been any breach of security, a breach of these Terms and Conditions, or any unlawful use of the Website.

3.2. The Website is provided "as is". Britain's Nurses gives no warranty that the Website is free from errors or will be available without interruption, or at all.

4. No reliance and exclusion of liability

4.1. The information on the Website does not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of Britain's Nurses or any of the companies or brands that may advertise on the Website.

4.2. Information and content on the Website do not constitute any form of advice or recommendation by Britain's Nurses and are not intended to be relied upon in making (or refraining from making) any decision.

4.3. Members are responsible for checking the accuracy of relevant facts and opinions given on the Website before entering into any commitment based upon them.

4.4. You may not seek redress from Britain's Nurses if you suffer loss or damage, or if you are harmed, defamed or offended by material, information, including Member Content, which you accessed or obtained through or which were posted on the Website.

4.5. The Website may have some automatic links to other third party websites. Members acknowledge that their owners may be independent from Britain's Nurses and that Britain's Nurses does not accept any responsibility for their content.

4.6. Britain's Nurses makes no representation and gives no warranty that any information or content contained on the Website is accurate, up to date or complete. It accepts no liability for any loss or damage caused by inaccurate information or content.

4.7. In no event is Britain's Nurses liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to perform your obligations.

5. NMC guidelines

5.1. The NMC produces a set of guidelines for the appropriate use of social media which should be adhered to by healthcare professionals. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, Members also agree that they have read and will adhere to these guidelines.
